Version 1.0 · Last updated May 8, 2026

Recording Consent Notice

Effective Date: May 8, 2026
Company: A. Albert Memories & Media, LLC

Your Responsibility

Before recording, uploading, or enabling AI transcription of any meeting or conversation, you are responsible for obtaining consent from all participants as required by applicable law.

Why Consent Matters

Recording laws vary significantly by jurisdiction:

  • Two-party / All-party consent states/countries require that all participants consent to being recorded.
  • One-party consent jurisdictions require only that one participant (which may be you) consents.

Failure to obtain required consent may violate federal, state, or local wiretapping, eavesdropping, or privacy laws and could result in civil or criminal liability.

What Scribble Notes Does

Scribble Notes provides tools to help you record, transcribe, and summarize meetings. We do not:

  • Verify that you have obtained required consents
  • Assume legal responsibility for your compliance with recording laws
  • Provide legal advice about consent requirements in your jurisdiction

Best Practices

We recommend:

  1. Informing all participants at the start of any meeting that it will be recorded
  2. Obtaining explicit verbal or written consent before recording
  3. Consulting a legal professional if you are unsure about consent requirements in your jurisdiction
  4. Using the in-app consent acknowledgment feature before starting recordings
